10/5/09 Conversation Ride, Boarders, Em

We take our conversation ride and make incredible progress. This is one of the first times that Luke and I communicated in our area--i.e. his excessive work--the attitude that he thinks he has to no matter what . . . . and I think he doesn't. Today he began to see that he has the power to make a choice as to what he does and does not chose to do . That's going to set him free.

All happy with each other and life, we go to Boarders. I am hoping to find a slim calorie book. I don't find it. But Luke does find a ton of the Magic Tree books for Xavier. I get decaf to have with my own diet cookies. Luke and I read a book about people who do things that are weird and almost kill them. So weird. And yet funny.

We go home. I'm planning to rest and Luke wants to practice for his recital. Em calls and invites us to dinner. I am feeling better and decide to go. We meet at Bravos where we haven't eaten in ages. I can always get a diet dinner at Bravos, and it's semi-fancy so I love it. Some uber fancy places have only high calorie food. So what good does that do me . . . Jen G was there with her family. They were celebrating Tom's 65th. We went over to give him a bday hug. Mara was there with her fiance. He looks like a sweet gentleman. He stood by her when she was diagnosed with a serious illness. So . . . I respect him.

I was home early. That was good. Now I'm resting.

Oh yes. I was amazing on my diet. I wouldn't let the waitress put the amazing Bravo bread in front of me. So . . . I didn't eat it. If I had allowed the bread in front of me, quess what . . . I would have eaten it. It all comes from the that article that I read-- I'm listening to the angel instead of you know who. (at least more of the time.)
