9/28/09 Chores/Resting
Exercises. Laundry. Household. Last night my plant overflowed. I was worried about it being too dry. No. It was too wet. I had it in a bowl on top of Babar --my kitchen organizer that Luke hates and I love. It's Danish Modern and it wasn't cheap. He sees it as a big waste of space. So we call it Babar the elephant.
Just before bed last night. I am tired and should be getting to bed--but no, I decide to water the plant on Babar. And suddenly I hear a water fall sound and water is pouring out of the bowl that houses plant. All over Babar. All over the floor. I can't even believe it. And I have to clean it up. Which takes about 20 minutes. And I am so tired when it's done.
I can't wake up this morning. I'm tired. I mean it's after 9:30. I never sleep this late, unless I'm sick. I My thoat is a little sore and I cough. Not much, but enough to let me know that . . . . I still have to get a lot of rest. Rest is what does it for me.
So . . . . after breakfast, Luke and I decide to spend time together. We decide to get things done that need to be done, but we will go to the half price book store as well--as a treat. We go to the bookstore first. I go straight to the young adult section where my fav author resides--Bruce Coville. I am so jealous of him and I want to write with the energy and the magic that he writes with. He is definetly one of my idols. He creates a world within our world. There are two new Coville books and I can't wait to read them.
There was a sale. I never find much among the $1:00 books. The ones I find are all moldy and have yellow pages. So I don't look. Luke is the ultimate bargin shopper. He found me 5 . . . yes five new cat mysteries. I totally love the cat mystries by Lilian Jackson Braun. She doesn't have to gross you out or scare you to get you involved with amazing characters and a fun plot. I never figure out who did it until the very end when Lilian gives all the big league clues. She all but points her finger at the killer and says here . . .
Then we do the ordinary chores. Shopping for food and nutrients. I like to shop at Trader Joes. It's fun to try the snacks and drink the yummy free coffee. I told you TJ offers you real cream which is the only way I like coffee.
Then I come home and crash.
