9/27/09 Luke's Big Birthday Present and Gift

I woke up with that little feeling of infection in my sinus cavities--a warning sign for me. I am going to honor myself and take care of my health. I decide to get in house stuff done and to rest a lot because tonight we go to Hollyhock Hills for Luke's B-day dinner.

So I did laundry. I got paper work done. I played a new game on my computer. What till Xavier sees it.

Rain called from Conn. The wedding was amazing. The weather was perfect and I wish we could have been there to see Amiee in her dress and to hear the ocean waves. I love the ocean. I think Rain was also trying to find out if I'm totally well so they can spend the night tomorrow. She didn't think so, and I'm not sure she'll want to expose the kids to this mega bummer thing that I have on Thursday. I so don't blame her.

I sat out with Luke for awhile. But when the sun went behind the clouds, there was a chill and I went in after a short time.

Soon it was time to leave for the party. I remembered to bring my camera and got some cute pictures. It was small but perfect--Em, Bobby, and the ever adorable Evan--Luke and me. Luke and Bobby LOVE Hollyhock Hills and so do I. I don't thinks there's much for Em to eat --she's a complete veggie. But she goes along with it because she's a sweet person.

The atmosphere of HH is elegant and family at the same time. The service is always terrific.
It's almost like they care about us personally. It was nice to be with Evan. Jennifer wouldn't come because she . . . well she had a disappointment. It made her sad.

I thought about getting fish--for the diet--but decided to enjoy the yummmy moist and flavorful fried chicken instead. I did , however take off the crispy skin. I wouldn't go so far as to eat chicken skin. I did however eat the cup of ice cream and a tiny bit of syrup. They offer butterscotch, mint and chocolate. I went with chocolate.

We had fun talking and laughing. Em got sick at this meal. It was sudden and she felt a lot better afterwards. We don't know why? She has a lot of allergies so it could have been that?

After dinner, Evan gave us both hugs. What a pumpkin he is. And then Bobby came home with us to help set up Luke's new giant t.v. He is one happy camper.
