9/25/09 Getting out at last--Best Buy for Lukes B-day

Luke gets up early. So early. He told me that he didn't sleep much last night. And he had an early hair appointment. Sometimes that makes a person edgy. They wake up early--so they will wake up on time.

I'm worried because Luke has worked so hard for so many weeks now, and today is morning to night. He promised to call in and let me know how he's doing.

After my a m. routine I go to Best Buy with certain numbers in hand. A have a very nice guy helping me. O.K. This is a secret. Em and I are going in on a dream birthday gift for Luke. When luke and I were at a hotel recently, there was this huge HD t.v. He loved it and was saying how it brought the sporting events right up close as though he was on the field. I know he was wishing he had that t.v. What he watches in his space upstairs is this tiny, ancient t.v. I mean it works but . . . where's the elan ? where's the sexy ? And no . . you don't feel like you are on the field.

His present 18 inch t.v. is in a small space. That's where he wants it. So I had to measure the space and 29 inches are the most I could imagine. But when I looked at t.v.'s at Best Buy, I fell in love with the 32 inch model. He would love it. The table that goes with the t.v. is black and I really like that for an accent to a room that has sage green walls and a brown carpet. I mean he'd turn on this t.v. and he'd be in the game.

Bobby wants to save us $$$ by getting the t.v. at Costco, but I don't know . . I'm thinking to get it at BB--if I can get someone to install it. Excitement! What will I do? I can't wait for him to see his present!!!

After BB, I go to the kid resale store. I'm going to get fancy costumes for MKate's granddaughter's birthday. I am relentless. Finally, I find two amazing dresses--one has a gold satin shirt and the other silver--so amazing. Then as a bonus, I find a dance dress for Violet. It's combines black velvet and a deep pink satin skirt and bow. I mean it's adorable. I think she's going to enjoy it. It's sooo Dancing with The Stars. And all I payed was $7.50. And it's almost new.

Well, tonight was the big concert. I was concerned about going--so I didn't. I can't afford to get sick again. Luke called me when the concert was over. He told me that it was a huge success. Just amazing. We didn't go to the big party either. Oh well, there will be other parties.
