9/15/09 Feeling better, took a walk, fresh air
I am feeling better. Instead of running through a whole box of tissues (large) , I'm using less. I'm coughing a little and have a light fever, so I didn't teach or go out for chores.
My sister had a health issue. I was kind of concerned. I prayed. Hopefully it will be like the other scares she's had this year--no big deal. I tried to call her a few times. She didn't answer. Finally I got her at home. The doc said that she's not too worried, but . . . as always with docs she wants to do further tests. So . . . I'll just keep praying
We've had our driveway resurfaced. So we are parking across the street and not walking on said driveway until tomorrow. I walked across the grass carefully (canes and erose surfaces don't always mix.) There was no good mail. All junk. But the walk was my achievement. Then I felt more inspired to sit outside--usually I'll only do that if Luke is here. I sat in his seat. I like the view better in my seat. He looks for the sun; I look for the flowers.
I'm reading a fun mystery. Lilian Jackson Braun does a great job of her characters with not too much violence. I like that and have read a number of her books. This book, "The Cat Who Smelled a Rat," takes you into Moose County--and folds you in with the characters who live there. The main character, Qwillweran, shares the stage with his detecting cat, Koko. I'm a cat lover, so it's fun for me to follow Koko's antics.
On "More to Love, " Luke goes against the wishes of his born again father and proposes to his Jewish/Israeli love. I was proud of him because he wasn't afraid to go with his heart.
