8/31/09 Meditation Class/ Con Ride/ Dinner with Em and Bobby
Todays class did not follow the usual pattern. I broke the aspects of deep meditation into parts and we practiced each part separately, then put them together. I felt a deep, sacred energy in the room and slid into meditation with the class.
Then Luke and I took our conversation ride. We talked about many things. Luke hates my piece of storage furniture which I keep in the breakfast room. I love it. I got it at the Keystone Mall at a high end store. So . . . it's not a piece of junk. It has a modern look. He hates everything about it. We didn't come to any conclusions but did open the subject. Then we had our usual disagreement over the amount of work Luke wants to heap on his already crazy busy shedule. And then we went to Starbucks and got a grande, iced Americana. The sun was warm and cozy. We dropped all conflict discussion and just relaxed and had fun. We followed by going to the 1/2 price bookstore.
Quess who I met? Robin Miakawa. I haven't seen her in years and years. Tom and Robyn and the kids have come back from Tailand where they did a mission trip. She looks great. Tom is back working at Lillys, and the kids are back in home schooling. Evan called Robyn while we were talking. He didn't want to practice his musical instrument, but he had already enjoyed his computer time (the reward for practicing.) Hummmm. Kids.
I went home and worked on organization. Then got ready to meet Em and Bobby for dinner. Luke wanted to stay home and get some practicing done. We chose Ocean World because it's diet friendly. We are all on diets. Bobby and I got there almost at the same time. We sat down and order fizzy water--good dieters that we are. Em came in. I ordered orange roughy--which is moist and yummmy. One of my fav fish tastes. I'm not sure it has any good oil, but I don't care. A great meal. Fun company.
