8/27/09 Bloomington and the Littles
We left Indy in good time. It was a great day to drive. We relaxed and just talked. The usual but still great Starbucks visit. They have the best ice coffee.
We picked Xavier up at his alternative school. He's thriving. We got ice cream. Well, frozen yogurt. The deal is . . . we can park in the Chocolate Moose parking lot (which is next to the alternative school and the only place to park to pick up the kids) IF we buy ice cream. OOOOh twist my arm.
At home Xavier checked out my Pokemon cards and found them acceptable. We played. When X and I play Pokemon, he has these rules of his own--and it's like he's playing himself and I watch. He plays the same way with everyone and he always wins.
We ate at the Golden Corral. Yay. I love that place. The kids do too. You can eat healthy there--if you want to and I do. And now they have a grill. Tonight Luke and I started with a salad and then followed with grilled fish and veggies. Violet loves to see me and her pappa. She always wants to sit on my lap and cuddle with me. I bring toys for her. Today, we drew pictures and played with clay. It's the feeling. We're bonded.
I like to see the variety of people who come to G.C.
The drive home was peaceful. I love driving in the dark. Too bad that my C.D. player just broke. I wonder how expensive it will be to fix it.
