8/14/09 Waiting for Sears. I'm disappointed.

Today was spent waiting for the Sears repair guys to work on my appliances and get them in shape for the year to come.  I was hoping to avoid waiting for Sears when I'm back to work.  Most of the day went well.

The microwave and oven guy was friendly and fun to talk to.  He told me his miracle.  He was dating a girl in high school.  They cared about each other,  but they were young.  He decided to date other women and they broke up and lost track of each other.  He got engaged to another woman.  But it didn't work.  One day,  he was driving and he looked to the side.  Who did he see? His original girl friend.  He stopped and asked her to talk a little.  She was headed for lunch with someone else.  They talked for 3 hours and they ate together.  A month later they were married.

Now,  ten years later,  they have two kids and a happy,  heart warming relationship.  It's sweet and good.  

Most of the day worked.  But not all.  Sears messed up with our garage frig--which we need and use daily.  Honestly,  I'm tired of the subject so I won't get into it.  They are offering me a refund on their mistake and no protection for our 10 year old garage frig.  Fine Sears.  When the garage frig wears out--quess what?  I'll buy a new one at Costco.  Ha.  MKate agrees that I made out like a bandit.

When all the repair guys were gone,  I went to NM to shop for us and for Rain and her family.  

Tomorrow we go to Xavier's 7th bday party and see the kids again for the first time in a long time.  

Yes.  Kay loved her bday gift.  I'm excited to see her wear the necklace.  I hope she enjoys wearing it.
