8/13/09 I do chores all day , THEN dinner out--yes!!!!
I stayed home today (no B town) so I could get a lot done. And I did.
First the morning routine went well. Then, I went to Verizon and returned the tether that was supposed to give me internet connection at the Bear. I didn't know what to expect. Luke and I thought that we had spent $80--$60 on the service and 20 for the device. Well, folks, not to worry--we got our money back and our friends at Verizon had gifted us with a free month. Yay! No money wasted.
Next I go to global gifts for a gift for Kay's bday gift. I find a really cute necklace and a darling black velvet bag decorated with colorful yarn. I put the necklace in the bag. I so hope she likes it. She's a very kind person and always wants to help others.
Then I picked up a gift for MKate. I mean, she saved the day for Luke and I. I think if we'd had to come home late and exhausted and found a hedious mess in our home--it wouldn't have been good. Em said, "Get a nice gift, mom. MKate saved the day for you." I got her a gift certificate to her and Jeff's fav restaurant. I HOPE she loves it.
Then I went to NM, to pick up some needed groceries. MKate gave me tons of fresh yummy , out of the garden veggies. I love fresh veggies. Just love them. I got a new, better fish oil for Dan and a vit D for his better health. AND my fav soda-- Virgil's diet, 6 cal goodness --root beer. I gave Kay and MKate their gifts. Again--I soooo hope they like their gifts.
Then I shopped at Trader Joes. I needed to stock up and I did. Then --- I saw Linda . She's the one who took care of our house and cleaned our frig and many other things. She is talented. I got to pay her on time and cross one more to do off my list.
Then I went home and met with W David. He took all the wool, that was just sitting in my upstairs closet doing nothing. He plans to sell it and start a movie fund with the proceeds. Then it will be easy to send him to interview Johann and maybe even John.
I was ecstatic about getting so much crossed off my to do list. Ecstatic.
Our reward was getting to have dinner with Em and Bobby--at my fav restaurant--P.F. Chang's. We had the best time. I should have gotten some kind of diet friendly fish, but I couldn't resist my fav spicey egg plant with tofu. Yummmy. Yummmmy . So especially delicious. I took two reduce pills to kind of make the calories go away.
Jennifer (granddaughter) had created a drama. We won't talk about it in the blog because all's well that end's well and it did. Bobby made the goodness happen, but Jennifer was prepared for her test and did very well when she finally took it.
Come on, folks, she's 17. And no I'm not telling.
After dinner, we went to Em and Bobby's to see the kids and hug them and to get two of Em's homemade, from scratch chocolate mint cupcakes--with a chocolate mint inside.
Busy. Busy. Happy. Happy day.
