8/21/09 Getting Ready is always hard/Toes

What can I tell you.  Getting ready for a trip is always hard for me and it makes me want to drag my feet.  MKate was nice enough to give me the evening off.  It's almost nine and I still have a ton of work to do.

So  . . .  I'll say quickly.  My toes looked ikkk.  I haven't had them done in ages and I do think it's a health issue.  Having healthy feet is important.  And it's gross to have toe polish that's chipping off or almost all off.  Luke has a few more days before his work starts in ernest,  so I invited him to get a pedi with me.  We went to the el chippo place and I finally got a good technician.  Her name is Holly.  Next time,  I'm asking for her.  She didn't hurt me once,  and my feet look great.

What was interesting is . . . I told Holly right up front that my little toe had been broken.  She didn't hear me.  Luckily she is gentle and didn't hurt the toe.  But at the end of the pedi,  she pointed out that my toe was swollen.  Duh . . . Holly.
