7/7/09 Max, Verizon, Hatha Class
I start the day with a sore thoat, but am able to work with it. MKate does not mind bringing Max. She knows that I'm not contagious.
Max comes ready to work. He feels comfortable talking in front of me, so I know the session will go well. Max begins talking about his time at his other grandparents home at Lake Wawasee. They actully live near Lake Palestine. Here they provide an opportunity for Max to be on a motor boat, to fish, golf and play sports. He's very competitive in a good way. He caught 18 fish in one day. He talked about school and his friends. Sports are the center of his life. His friends are interested in sports. Of course. I got to know Max in a way I would never have come to know him before. He's also very, very bright. It's good that he sees young that natural gifts are not enough, he has to follow the rules if he wants to stay in the elite groups. He knows how to do that.
MKate and Max leave to pick up Abbey. I eat lunch and work on my computer. Then Luke and I go, for what we think will be a short time , at Verizon. Our goals are to learn how to text each other, put our phones on vibrate, and leave a message for each other. Also we want to buy a month of computer use outside my home wifi. However it was slow at Verizon and our friend, George, wanted to play with our phones. I don't even know what all he did, but I do know that all our extra time--several hours worth--were used up. We couldn't even get cottage cheese for Luke. No time.
George did help me to orgaize one of the names on my contact list. He didn't have time to show me how because, thank you Lord, another customer was waiting. I love George and appreciate that he's helped us save money over the years and that he's helped us learn to use our phones ----but . . .
MKate came to pick me up for Hatha Class. Bev and Jeff, Matt, MKate and I. The class went well. I'm hoping that we can all have a healing with Nicole. I don't think Bev was interested. We'll see.
I ate dinner while watching a Chef's fav derert show. They all looked great. The one I liked best was the gourmet ice cream sundae. Yummm.
