7/5/09 Sore throat, NM, Dinner with Em and Bobby

I was so tired and my throat hurt.  I think I should have worked on myself last night before bed.  I came home wet and cold from all those hours outside in the chill and pelting rain.  Luke thinks I should have taken a hot shower.  Why didn't I?  I think I was tired and just wanted  . . . to rest.  Well,  also play computer games.  There I've said it.  At least it's good for my brain.

I woke up tired this morning.  We didn't go to church.  Too bad.  Pastor Millard was preaching today and I hate to miss.

Matt looked kind of off this morning.  He's my spiritual son and it made me sad as well.  The morning got a slow start.  I had the feeling we'd see some action and hopefully not people in hopes of another day for our 4th of July sale.  Jeff,  owner,  said that anyone who asked for it specifically would get their sale prices.  So we had our game plan.

Matt told me that he had an inner feeling that his relationship to the universe was off--I have had this feeling before and use yoga to defuse shadows.  He had his own way to deal and I was proud of him.  In a few minutes he was smiling again.

We had a great day.  Lots of non-sale purchases.  I know that we'll have repeat custom from this days work.  My fav customer was a woman who is dealing with a health issue that took courage.  She wants to heal naturally.  We had a lot to talk about.  She'll come and see Jeff sometime this week  She took the info for my hatha class.

After work,  we went to Em and Bobby's house for an extended 4th of July party.  Bobby grilled chicken and wings.  Em make a big salad.  Yummmy.  I brought my Edo's oil for the salad dressing.  They had grilled corn for the starch.  I love grilled corn.  Brian and Emily were there with Noah.  He's getting used to us.  He's also more and more charming.  He made up a pet dog.  First his dog was red,  then blue.  So much imagination.

After the little family went home,  we sat around the table talking about travel and old music.
Oh yes.  Ron was there for the first time in ages.  Luke and I are charmed by Ron.  Such a sweetie.  He's divorced and we love to hear him talk about his many dates.

Jennifer is doing a great job and having fun working with young kids at the camp where she is a first year councellor.  We're so proud of a 17 year old girl who doesn't get into any trouble.  She's decent and likes to serve others.  That is a blessing.
