7/25/09 Travel Day
Luke decided to select a later flight so we wouldn't have to get up so early. We're trying it on, also it's non stop. Well actually, the plane stops briefly but we don't get off. ?????
Our great son-in-law Bobby comes to pick us up and take us to the airport. Honestly I like when he picks us up. It feels safe and I feel cared for. I know he does us the biggest favor but I'm glad he's willing.
I twist my ankle and have to cross the airport in a wheel chair. It's better than creeping along, but I pray that I am healed soon. I keep remembering what I hear during my last healing with Nicole--"Get out of the way."
The flight was long and I didn't like being stuck on the plane. You can't get decent coffee and you can't walk as much as is good for me. My ankles swelled. Yukkky. That didn't happen last time. However when I had rested the ankle I was able to walk from the plane to our luggage area in Sacramento--very fast and with no pain. Healing come to me.
We got to our hotel in time for a lovely dinner at Dawsons (our fav where the staff makes you feel like royalty.) The food is always excellent. Boulant is now running room service so we didn't get to see him. We really liked our waiter and we exchanged info with him. He wants to know as soon as I'm healed.
We had to take a taxi to the theatre. The show, "Guys and Dolls", was wonderful--like a broadway show. Everything sparkled--sets, costumes, acting , singing and dancing. We loved it all. I acted in " Guys and Dolls" when I was a teenager in summer stock. So it was a lot of great memories as well.
Then we kind of fell into bed and went to sleep. The hotel is luxe and the bed was so comfy. If only my ankles were less puffy.
