7/19/09 NM , Dinner w Em and Bobby --About dogs
I was very tired and slept in. I cannot afford to get sick before a trip. So I missed Church. Paster Millard wasn't there and I didn't think the sermon sounded interesting. Anyway, I would have gone if I didn't need the sleep.
I was off to NM on time, driving along all happy for a fun day --when my coffee spilled down my face and neck and all over my fresh clean top. So I had to scurry home again for a change of clothes. The coffee smell lingered. Oh well. I should stop using the leaky coffee mugs. I have a great, easy to seal mug from Lexis (a gift from Em) and should use it whenever I am in the car.
Lesson learned, I hope. Matt had a busy a.m. but he's like me--he can glide through business and it doesn't stress him. Matt loved the workshop and agrees that it was a great way to start our project. He and I agreed that Liz is pure magic with words and ideas. Her sharing was just amazing. Honest and interesting. We had a lot of great customers. People who were serious about changing their lives through nutrition. It was exciting and the numbers showed it.
Em and Bobby just returned from a visit with Evan in Chicago. Things were going well when--he got a mean call from M. She told him that she was getting rid of his dog--that shocker brought a lot of tears and saddness.
Now here's the truth, I am begining to see how much work a puppy would be. Evan's pup is one that needs the dog whisperer. He's a very tempermental animal. I hope that he gets a decent home, one where his owner will help him to grow into a dog that you can live with. What would I do with a dog that was constantly peeing and pooping on the carpet. Judy tells me that with all the best care and intentions, her dog was and still is just like that--difficult.
I feel so sorry for Evan. Maybe I can get him involved with our fish tank to be. I'd let him name the fish of his choice. Fish are so peaceful. And maybe Em and Bobby will let him have a fish of his own.
I know I write a lot about pets. Pets are an important part of life and I miss Jelly Bean.
