6/4/09 THE FLOW
The morning started with a call from M's secretary. She can't take her lesson tomorrow. Yay! First I don't want to teach her anymore. Second, I haven't worked on the proposal that must be ready when I do teach her. The secretary said that M wants to take her lesson next Friday. When I didn't complete my proposal this week, I was true to my own inner timing and YES I was in the flow. So empowering.
The trip to B town gave Luke and I an opportunity to talk about issues surrounding our trip to California. We did a great job. I'm so proud of us. It wasn't an easy conversation to have.
The weather was pure delight. Not too hot. Not too cold.
We picked X up at camp. The camp is at his old school. Memories came flooding back of my little grandson on a baby bike scooting around the playground with CC his best friend and "future wife." Sooo sweet. the little playhouse. X climbing so high. I had to take deep breaths not to run and stop him. I had to trust that he could do this. The class bunny. The art and he made such create things. He loved the gooy, bright paint. And now he's almost seven. Wow.
Luke went into the school to get him, next week I will.
We went to the bookstore to play and wait for Rain to call about when to meet for dinner. Right away X noticed a spiderman comic book. It was $5.00. I let him get it. I might not have with my girls. I spend more than that on Starbucks. I'm glad I did. He enjoyed it so much and was able to read most of the words.
I found a fun book for Rain's bday and also got a small gift certificate. I love bookstore certificates. And not to half price books. But the real, new deal. She's going to live it.
Luke and I take turns playing with and reading with Xavier. It's just fun and he's so handsom.
Rain calls and we are ready to meet at Lenny's for dinner. Rain and I used to have lunch at Lenny's when she was pregnant with X. Wow. Now, Violet is two and Xavier almost 7. It's like a feast of life.
The dinner is yummm. I got a salad with mesquite turkey. Delicious. Dressing on the side. I passed on taco chips. As soon as Violet sees me , she reaches out her little arms and comes to sit on my lap. What a doll baby. I have colored markers for her. She draws and we play with the stuff in my purse. Then she sits by her mom to eat dinner. She's hungry and sucks up the strands of pasta. So adorable. But soon she's tired and age two restless. She falls off her booster chair. Big tears. And a sore place on her head. Luckily there was carpet. Rain takes her outside. I bring ice in a napkin. V puts ice on her sore place. She's a little shaky so I give her Bach FLower's Rescue Remedy--gummy form. It's like candy to her. I give her two and Rain and I have two.
Luke and I have to go home early. I am meeting a student who wants to work on a life issue.
It's a positive meeting. It's about how yoga teaches the ABC's of relationship. Baba used to say that people get married to work on each other's egos. If you let that happen, you'll grow in spirit, as a person and develop a great relationship. It's magic. It's the same with all relationships--kids, friends, co-workers, pets.
Oh by the way, I told your neighbor that if Diamond has more pups, (and I am walking) I'd like to have one. This little dog is sooo sweet. I couldn't put her in my purse, but . . . Oh yes, the flow. There were poo piles all over the neighbor's lawn. I was only looking at Diamond. So I didn't see them. I only have this one pair of shoes that works for me. So . . . I'm in the flow and I miss every one.
This was a great day.
