6/26/09 Firestone/Target, NM, Keystone , garden

I miss my hatha but do a few exercises.  I've got to be at Firestone at 12.  My air conditioner isn't working not good for hot Indy summers,  I need an oil change and I want to be sure that my battery is fine.  I get to Firestone about 15 min late.  It's not a big deal.

They are nice enough to drive me to Target.  I need some items although I'd rather read and drink iced coffee at the Starbucks next door to Firestone.  Duty first.

I do spend some time shopping for a possible bra and maybe a T shirt.  No soap.  So I go on to the toy area where I pick up two packs of Pokemon cards.  I know I won't get the change to give them to the kids right away,  but that's o.k.  I have them.  Then I look for a shower curtain for Luke's bathroom.  It's hard because the walls are a brick red,  so I want something that will be soft and tone down the brick color.  I find a fab silvery background with black and white photos of flowers.  So now.  I try to call Luke but our home phone isn't working.

I need candles for evening prayer time.  I get plenty so I won't have to come back too soon.  I get three packs of nice,  scented candles.  I'm going to pray for some special people.  I use one pretty candle and 6 plain ones.

Now my feet are tired and I go to Starbucks for iced coffee.  This Starbucks is inside the Target.  While I am drinking,  Firestone calls and says that they are ready to pick me up.  To be nice,  I go to the outside door and finish my coffee while waiting . . . and waiting.   MKate is nice enough to call Firestone to ask where they are--they did say they were coming to pick me up right away.  I go back to Starbucks and sit where I can see the road.  Finally Chris (Firestone employee and new father) comes and picks me up.  Oh well,  they were willing to drive me to Target and pick me up.  I'm grateful.

At home,  I rest and work on my computer.  Then it's off to NM to pick up the banking.  My fav banker is there (well soon to be social worker/therapist).  I tell her about my healing experience.  She's interested,  and is waiting for me to have the second treatment.

NM is slow.  MKate and I spend a few hours working on projects and with customers.  Then we head for Keystone at the Crossing,  and Chicos.  Great cloths that look fancy without being too expensive.  We have fun trying things on,  and we both find items we need and want.  I get two pair of travelers pants that I can wear for the trip to Calif and then wherever I go--until they wear out.  The pair are wear in have little holes.  MKate tells me that everyone knows the color of my underwear.  Now I have replaced them.  I also got this funky pink hair flower that I'll wear to parties in Calif.

We get back to NM in time to shop.  Linda is there closing.  She's always in a good mood.  Today she got her first paycheck since coming back to work and can buy things.  She's excited.  I'm inspired by Linda.  She's not 16 and she lost her full time job.  Now she has to start again.  She's never sad.  Never discouraged.  I'd like to try and help her with her home care business.

THINGS I LEARNED FROM DURGA

Every night,  Durga gets an envelop with bonus coins--from 50 to 500.  No matter what she gets she jumps up and down with utter glee.
