6/24/09 DrK, Pilates/ Lunch w MKate, NM

I cut my shedule and am on time to leave the house for Dr K's.  Luke comes with me.  We talk quietly.  We talk about the politco who disappeared from his family and position in government,  with no excuse at all.  Turns out that his little trip was to see a woman,  not his wife.  And turns out that many people knew about the sexy e-mails he was sending to this married woman with children.  Not very Christian.

Weird that someone would just throw their career and their family away.  And lie about it.  He could have gotten a divorce and been acceptable.

Dr K does notice that my body is changing.  And that my toe seems to have healed very well.  I'm holding my breath,  well,  kind of.  Could this healing really happen for me?  I want to believe that it can.

MKate calls me.  She isn't feeling well and coughed all night.  I remember when that happened to me.  And you don't know what to do--stay home and be bored,  go out and possibly exhaust your healing energy or even get reinfected again.  MKate decides to meet me at Pilates class.  She looks better to me.  We have a good pilates class,  we are getting stronger.  Push pull stretch.  Susan is going on vacation next week.  We're going to miss her.

We go to the frame shop.  I am framing a black and white photo for Em and Bobby.  They so went out of their way to make my birthday extra special.  I want to present them with a photo that they can enjoy.  It's a photo of Em when she was 5 years old,  in our neighborhood playground with the bouncy toys,  and her dad is swinging beside her.  The woman in the frame shop is artistic.  I enjoy working with her.  I have a vision for what I want the final product to look like.  MK has a great artistic eye and she helps as well.   I'm excited to see the final product.  I think it's going to be great.

MKate and I make a quick lunch--toast and cheese with root beer.  MKate heads for work.  I follow soon after to pick up the banking.  I'm tired.  The bank is cool and interesting.  I always enjoy watching people--how they dress,  and walk and talk.  Back at NM I have boxes waiting for me.  The Burt's Bee's is not easy.  You have to search for the prices.   I get the products priced and ready for the shelf,  Greg shelves them.

Contemplations on Gratitude

I'm grateful for a job that is peaceful and varied.  I work with friendly people who have good vibs.  Most of the time everyone is happy to see each other and to help get the work done.  My employers are my best friend and her husband--pretty cool.

I learn a lot from my clients.  An older woman came in today,  she isn't feeling well.  She's not rolling in $$$$ so the expensive vits that would help her are hard to afford.  I wanted to give her the change from our little change dish,  but she wouldn't take it.  She said that she wants to walk the road of life in a way that will please her creator and that God knows she can afford her own vitamins.  I felt inspired.
