6/21/09 Brunch w Littles, NM, Father's day with Em and Nicole

I get up ready to shower and meet the kids and the Littles for Father's day brunch.  Luke gets to pick and he picks the Bake House where we have had good times and good food in the past.  I am rocking the time thing,  we get there and the kids have just sat down .  Violet is adorable with her sunny curls which are getting longer all the time.  Xavier is playing with his Pokemon cards.  I make a mental note to get some new cards for him and some kind of girl cards for V.

V is not one of your great eaters.  She often eats smidges ,  not portions of things.  But she loves muffins,  just like mom (her great grandma).  Rain got her a huge pumpkin muffin with sweet cream cheese.  V asked her to cut it up and then this little,  tiny girl started eating this muffin until it was almost done.  I tasted a bite and it was delicious.  Moist and sweet and utterly yummm.  I had a delicious omelet with spinich,  mushroom,  and cheese.  Rye bread that had depth,  richness and seeds.  Soooo good with a little butter.  I forgot my flax at Rain's house,  too bad.

Ry told us funny stories of the kids.  How V has learned how to tease her brother.  She's so smart.  A typical breakfast conversation: V: I'm going to ride the school bus.  X: You have to be five.  V: I'm not five,  I'm two. (pause) I'm going to ride the school bus.  and so on for what seems like hours.  Very funny.

We drank amazing coffee,  ate breakfast,  played with the Littles.  All was peace,  joy and a lot of light.  When we had to leave,  V gave Papa a big hug and she came up to my calf and hugged tight.  Her little golden head,  curls bouncing in the sun--like pure love--the kind that comes from a little child's golden heart.

The drive home was sunny and amazing peaceful and grateful.  Thankful.  Filled with gratitude.

At N.M.  Matt is waiting.  He is such a great person and friend.  We work and we talk.  It's a good day for customers getting introduced to our oils.  Between times,  we talk about robotics,  his new friend,  A--who he'll meet on  Tue night.  I'm so excited for him.  His mom and dad come in.  I thrilled to see phone photos of their new winter/summer glassed in porch.  I want one.

After work,  we meet Nicole and Em for Fday's dinner.  Luke wanted to eat Thai,  so we went to our fav--Sarwassti (not the right spelling)>  The atmosphere is delectable.  Before you take a bite,  you're happy.  The atmosphere is welcoming ,  colorful ,  and Asian--art,  flowers-elegance.  And the owner welcomes everyone.  I could order a diet dinner.  I can't resist Pad Thai with shrimps,  and rice noodles.  Yummmmm.  I taste L's coconut soup--spicey and yum.

The company is funny and comfortable.  People we love.  Nicole is our 4th daughter.

Oh yes.  As thought she didn't give me enough,  Em gave me a new top for our Calif trip.  I haven't tried it on yet,  but it's a style that I love.  Hippy.

What a blessed life.
