6/18/09 48th Anniversary --flowers, shop, movie

This morning I woke up to our 48th anniversary and me just 21.  How can that be?  It must be the magic at the heart of the world--at work in our lives.

I got Luke a great cup of appreciation filled with chocolate peanuts.  He got me 48 beautiful roses in all the colors.  A great start to the day.  He will be able to use his cup every day and think that I appreciate him and all he brings into my life.  How lucky am I ?

We arranged the flowers together.  I had three huge vases full (the adorable tea pot vase that the girls gave me) and two smaller vases for the puja in honor of the blessings of the Saints.

Then it was off to:  I got Luke a tooth whitening kit from the dentist.  It's very official.  It was so nice of Dr H to rush order it.  Luke had to drop me off at Dr H's place because I can't pick up the kit tomorrow.  I had to trust that he wouldn't guess.  On father's day,  I'll ask him what he thought.  Then we went to Sergios for a few minutes so that I could get my gypsy skirt altered.  It's really a dress but with giant boobs like mine,  you can't wear that kind of dress without looking ickky.  So I had it cut into a skirt.  I can pick it up next friday.

Then it was off to Khols for fun shopping at extreme sale prices.  We both got great deals on things we wanted.  I got a great new bra,  an adorable Vera Wang night gown,  and two pair of undies(red and light blue) .  Wow.  Luke got a belt and the coolest T shirts in all the great colors that he loves.  FUN.

What wasn't fun was that MKate didn't feel well.  Truthfully,  and I feel so very guilty--so very--I was afraid to go over her house and help her.  I was so sick this year and I still cough now and then.  This week I've been coughing.  I hope that MKate will forgive that I didn't go and help.  I know that if she really needed help I would have prayed and gone anyway.  She promised me that she mainly needed sleep.  And I did pray that she'd have a healing sleep.  Poor.  Poor.  MKate.  The flu totally sucks.

Luke and I ate at Noodles.  We love Noodles.  It's one of our favs.  We had their 3 choice option.  I always get Thai noodles,  grilled chicken and a salad.  Yummmmy.  We met one of my fav Sunday customers.  He told Luke that I helped him with his nutrition.  I felt all warm inside that I was able to help.  He also said that it was cute to see that we are still in love.  He was at the restaurant alone so I hope he finds someone to love as well.

Luke and I went to see "Hangover."  It was funny--more for guys but I thought it was cute.  Em said the same when she and Bobby went.

When we got home,  I called MKate right away.  She had been able to sleep and felt a tiny bit better--you know how yuk the flu makes you feel.  Her husband was coming home from work and when we hung up,  he was walking in the door.  I know he'll take good care of her,  and hopefully she'll feel all better when she wakes up.

Now Luke and I will have our evening togetherness time.  It was a great anniversary.
