6/16/09 Lunch w Alan. clean, Hatha Class
I get all my exercises done. Finally. Somehow they are easier. I don't know why???? But why argue with success.
We are meeting Alan for brunch. Luke is all in a state worried that we won't be there exactly in time. Which tends to make me drag.
We were going to meet at the new restaurant Tulip Noir. Luke and I got there first(hummmm)--I didn't like the decor. It was kind of open so you could see everyone eating, no privacy. An over bright look to the atmosphere--Luke calls it garish. A perfect word. I didn't want to eat there. Then I found that they stop serving breakfast at 10:30. I eat breakfast between 12 and 1 p.m.
We left. Alan still wasn't there anyway. I waited in the car and Luke waited outside. Alan drove up in Ashley time. We decided to eat an all American breakfast at the ever faithful--Pancake House. It was as always good, well cooked food served with hot tasty coffee.
We were sorry to learn that Alan's precious dog, Cocoa is not well. He may be joining mom and Jellybean soon. Cocoa has had a great life. Alan is the best pet owner ever. We talked about music and pets and travel plans and friends. Alan is a relaxing person. It doesn't matter what we talk about.
After brunch, I go to the dentist. I hate cleanings because they hurt. Lucky me. Dr Hansen has a new gel that tastes good and numbs the gums and teeth. The cleaning goes much faster when I am not complaining and gasping. At home, I do laundry and paper work. I want to plan my days with writing in mind. It would be best if I could get more organized before taking that step.
I pick MKate up for Hatha class. It was great to see Nicole finally taking advantage of her free class. Matt and the two Indian girls were there, which gives me the freedom to do more Hindu readings. Tonights reading was from a book that I plan to purchase--"Approaching God, Elements of Worship and From Shrine to Temple" Excerpts from Stephen P. Huyler's "Meeting God, Elements of Hindu Devotion." the paragraph that I read for contemplation time was entitled "Ramachandran's Weekly Visit to the Temple" This is a beautiful description of the reverant start of a day for a man who is truly seeking a connection to God. I've already read it more than once.
The class was deep and quiet.
