6/10/09 My Birthday

Luke woke me up and said Happy Birthday.  He wanted to give me my card and maybe a present but I wasn't awake yet.  After a long shower,  I was awake and Luke gave me the funniest card--weird choir singers singing like moi out of tune.  So I started my special day laughing.

I played with my puzzle and got ready for Dr K.  I brought my funny card everyone laughed.  It was fun.  Then L dropped me off for my pilates class with Susan.  MKate was already there.  Susan told me that Em had given me a truely generous gift,  lots of pilates lessons.  I was so stunned and happy.

Em picked me up after class and took me for Starbucks and a mani/pedi--at our place.  Fun. Fun.

Moving on to meet Bobby and Luke for the rest of my fab birthday extravaganza.  We get home and Diamond is out.  I have to pat her and she seems to know it's my bday.  She is sooo sweet.  She meets Em and loves her as well.  Hummmm.  Is there anyone Diamond doesn't love?

I get dressed for the evening.  Bobby drives us to Indy Live in his big comfy car like riding on clouds.  We drive up and it's beautiful.  The valets park our car free.  And we walk into the beautiful lobby.  We are hungy and start with dinner.  The restaurant is luxe--dark and romantic.  Our waiter is totally attentive.  It's Wed and he has the time to make us feel special.

I order aziago cheese crusted salmon.  Yummm.  With a little mushroom pancake.  I took a photo of the spinich and strawberry salad.  It was beautiful and delicious.  Then it was dessert time.  Em and I both got to pick a dessert.  A chocolate fountain for her and a chocolate/banana pudding tart.  Yummy.  I took a picture of that as well.

Then we all went out to the gambling floor.  Luke and I like the life and energy of casinos.  The next two hours were really fun.  I like to walk around a casino before I play to see what's happening.  I stopped to watch an older lady winning --over $1,000 .  She would make circles on the screen before playing and the $$$$ keep going up.  I asked her to give me some tips.  Em kept me company and I got to pick where we sat because I was the bday girl.  I like games with a story.  At the end of the evening,  I was the only one to have $$$$$ to take home.  I won almost $30.00.  The last time Luke and I played in a casino I won $11.50.

We were tired but happy driving home.
