5/6/09 The Dogs/ NM and the Cop
A bunny in the grass. So sweet. The neighbors haven't cut their grass. Good for us and good for the bunny. He's eating and eating the juicy wet grass. Hope those dogs don't get out.
We drive to Dr K. It's raining. I love to watch the drops fall into puddles. Making circles. We like to drive together. I'm hoping the Dr K and Dr Mike can help Luke's back. I can't believe that Luke's back still hurts.
I get Chai Latte. And we head for home. We don't know what to say about the dogs.
At home we call Nancy. We have a meeting. She's a lawyer and kind of the head of the crime watch here at College Park. I've talked to her once. I don't think she can do anything, but she did listen. She's planning to have a meeting with the home owners. They live right next door to us. What is this lesson? Luke was all yes, we'll come to your meeting with the home owners. But I'm no. I'm getting some kind of protection. A weapon that I'd be able to handle in a fear situation. When I was shaking all over. And I could still handle it.
I am a little late for Nature's Market I'm kind of shocked and awful inside. MKate understands. It's good to be at work. It's good to concentrate on something and someone else. I'm working with boxes and checking in products. I have to concentrate. Little by little, I relax. Kay tells me that I need to surround my house and family with love and safety. I know that she's right. She also said to bless the dogs. So I'll do that as well.
At the end of the day, our last customer is a cop. He's big and strong and he tells us that he's afraid of Pit Bulls. Great. He tells us other aweful stories about these dogs. So I ask him, "What can I do to protect myself." You know you have to aim a gun and with a tazer you have only one shot. So he says get a stun gun. I'm going to the gun shop with Jeff and MKate.
What is the lesson oh Lord? What's happening in my life?
