5/4/09 Meditation Class/Private Time/ Pit bulls

A glorious day.  Sunshine and cool breezes.  I get everything done.  There was time for toast and cheese for breakfast.  I made coffee to be had after meditation class.

I was disappointed that there were only two in meditation class.  Luke and MKate.  But the class itself was beautiful and deep and I enjoyed it as well.  I needed to relax.  Well you know,  the new neighbors.  We have these mystery neighbors .  I was hoping for a young couple with a baby or
quiet senoirs with cats.  Not.  This is a strange,  mixed group of people and who are they?

Worse they have Pit Bulls.  I found out about it through an e-mail.  These dogs have been loose and chasing people.  Now it's not safe for Rain to bring Rocky or the littles to see me.  They would have to stay indoors.  I'm thinking about it.  I'd like to move.  But . . . Luke wouldn't.  He wants to pretend that it's all fine.

So I'm trying to stay in a meditative state and think about what to do.

After class Luke and I went for our date and conversation.  On the table: enjoying El Paso.  Getting the most good for ourselves and others.  Not easy given the family dynamics.  But when we have good intentions ( most of the time) it works out.  It's blend of hard and easy,  sad and happy.  Nana isn't doing well at all,  and Luke's brother is very ill.  This brother and I haven't spoken in years.  Hummmm.

Then we went to the 1/2 price book store.  I wanted to get some books on tropical fish.  Luke helped me.  I really,  really like the salt water fish.  But I fear that it would be too hard and time consuming for what I want at this point in my life.

Things that bother me.  John for John and Kate Plus Eight seems to have thought about an affair.  Or maybe it was just the press.  I so hope so.  I wish the press hadn't picked up on it so fast and splashed his face on the cover of US mag.  It will hurt the kids for nothing.

Then we went shopping at my fav Trader Joe's.  We only got a few items but I like being in that store and having free coffee.

At home,  I talk to MKate of course.   We talk about dogs,  family,  and so on.  We talk about Durga's new outfits.  I'm not a phone person,  but I'll talk to MKate.
