5/31/09 Church, NM, Em and Bobby

Got up for Church with no problem.  Got some of my exercises but not all.  Pastor gave a beautiful sermon on Pentecost--one of my favorite holidays.  He said it was right in line with Christmas and Easter in importance.

Here are some quotes.  Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you will be my witneses in Jerusalem . . . . and to the ends of the earth."  And . . .
Acts 2:1-8,  12  " When the day of Pentecost ahd come,  they were all together in one place.  And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entrie house where they were sitting.  Divided tonques ,  as of fire,  appeared among them ,  and a tonque rested on each of them.  All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages . . . .  All were amazed and perplexed,  saying to one another,  "What does this mean?"

So amazing.  God comes like the wind.  At a funeral,  Pastor M said this . . . . . as he was with the family . . . . suddenly a huge wind came.  In Hebrew wind and spirit are the same.  Pastor used to bring a group of  young people to a mountain top for prayer and a picnic.  Each time,  a strong wind like God's breath blew across the mountain top.   The students were filled with this wind of grace.

We sat with Bev and Jeff at Church.  Before we leave for California,  we'll go to breakfast together.  They are such a lovely couple .  There was a lot of Divine energy dancing around in Church this morning.  People were smiling and hugging each other.

Home for a snack.  Then on to N.M.  I was happy to see Matt.  He does still look sick and he was coughing but I know he isn't contagious.  There weren't many customers.  Matt fixed up the bulletin board which really needed to be done.  I stuffed magazines.  And there were a few customers that both of us spent time with.  I always home that the time pays off and that people come back.

Brian,  Emily and Noah were with us for dinner.  Noah is so adorable,  and he's getting used to us.  Em was tired.  I tried to help as much as possible.  Bobby was right on with grilling salmon.  It was delicious.  Dan wants to take me gambling for my bday.  And to a very nice restaurant.  I think it sounds fun.
