5/28/09 Btown X graduates from 1st grade

Luke and I get ready and are on time for our trip to B town.  It's a perfect day--not too hot,  not too cold.  Sunshine.  And clear roads.  When gas prices go up,  less traffic to wander through.
We stop at Starbucks for iced coffee and a doughnut for the little graduate.

Yes,  Xavier is graduating from 1st grade with honors.  He doesn't enjoy homework,  but he reads well,  spells well,  and is comfy with math.  We picked him up and he was smiling.  Smiling.  No more homework and a whole day of fun and games.  His fav was the water balloon game.  The teachers let the kids get soaked and then change into dry clothes.

X came in to ----no homework.  Joy.  He went right for video games.  He started with Scooby Doo.  I love games and so I'm interested to watch him.  Is he grammas boy.  I think so.

We went to the Golden Corral for the celebration.  V sees me and smiles.  And she wants to be picked up.  She's independent now and feels like a big kid,  but she bestows the pick up on me.  She's adorable in a head full of soft natural curls.

We go to the party room.  The GC is fun because you can create your own meal.  As little or as much as you want.  And they give you a chance to eat healthy or not.  its your choice.  Healthy but yum or not.

We laugh and talk and have fun.  It's always fun with Rain and her family.

The drive home in the dark was peaceful.  We talked about a serious subject but quietly with the idea that God will decide.

Oh yes.  Very important.  I saw a license plate in the Starbucks parking lot--DON'T GIVE UP.
Now that fits in with healing miracle.
