5/19/09 Meetings with Diamond, and Liz. Hatha Yoga

I had a 12 pm meeting with Liz at Paneras.  I left in plenty of time but . . . there on his lawn was my new neighbor,  Warren,  with his two fiercesome dogs,  and his 6 month old twins.  He waved.  As if.  I opened my car window,  safe in my car,  and said , "I heard you have a pit bull.  Is she really dangerous? " He said.  No.  She's my baby.  Come and meet her.  Her name is Diamond.  She did look sweet and I thought,  why not.  And I got out of the safety of the car and walked toward Diamond,  the pit bull with jaws of iron.

I put forth my hand to let her sniff me.  And what did she do?  She licked me.  And I leaned down toward her.  And she licked my face.  Hummmm.  Pretty soon I was patting her and she was licking me and we were fast friends.  Now I love Diamond.  And she loves me.  I'm getting her some peanut butter bones.

I got to my appointment with Liz.  She was kind of mad.  And I don't blame her.  Then I told her about meeting Diamond and she was nice enough to understand.  She has a 20 minute rule and I feel just under 2o minutes.

It's always fun to talk to Liz and catch up.  We worked up a little plan for a miracles workshop at her church which W David would film.  Liz will present it to her pastor for some time in July.  This would be an interesting beginning for our film.  Liz tells me that Unitarians are cynical and not religious in the sense that I would think.  It should be interesting--cynics and miracles. And yet believe in them or not,  we live them everyday from our first awakening to our last wakeful moments at night.

I got chores done.  Banking and CVS.  Then I went home to get ready for Hatha Yoga.  MKate picked me up.  The classes have gotten more and more amazing.  Filled with shakti.  As though fueled by the meditation classes that come from the deep core.

At home,  I am watching the finale of Dancing with the Stars.  This is the first time that I can't make up my mind between Gilles and Melissa.  Opps.  Melissa is third.  But she's happy.  So .  . .
