5/16/09 Target/ Dinner with Bev, Jeff, MKate, movie

The trees are thick with leaves.  I added exercises to my routine that will strenthen the muscles I need for successful surgeries.  I might even get rid of celulite.

After breakfast,  Luke and talked about various gifts and cards that we want to send out before we go to El Paso.  He noticed that the beautiful wedding card he bought for his student Micheal did not have an envelope.  Then he handed it to me to see what he'd written and I got yellow marker on it.  We were sad.

I had to go to Target anyway,  so I went to the service desk to see if I could get an envelope.  I showed the yellow stain to this very nice young woman and she let me get another card.  I felt touched by an angel.

After Target,  I went home to get ready for dinner at Jeff and Bev's.  MKate came to pick us up just as I was finishing the bags of popcorn.  I'm not sure the gourmet eaters Bev and Jeff will eat dry, unseasoned microwave popcorn,  but . . .  maybe.  It's a nice drive to their condo.  Although Jeff has been a good friend for years,  we've never been to his apartment,  which was his bachelor pad.  Now Bev has turned it into a beautiful home.  I love the colors of the walls.  The chocolate brown living room is my fav.  They have great views of trees.

Bev made a delicious diet dinner--chicken breast,  asparagus,  salad.  Every dish served like better homes and gardens or a t.v. show.  And for dessert lime pie.  I only ate a small slice.  It was delicious.  Amazing.

The movie was The Soloist.  Not one that I'd choose for myself,  but we went because we were being included in Bev and Jeff's at-home honeymoon.  I'm not sorry we went.  It was an interesting look at respecting other people,  even when you don't understand them and even when you want to make them more like you.  Respect for who God made them.  I'll be thinking about the theme's of this movie for a long time.

We saw Debbie and Jahana who had also come to this movie with friends.
