4/28/09 7000 Hair/ Hatha Yoga Class
I got all my morning activities done. That always makes me feel good.
I got into the car at exactly the right time to get me to Studio 7000 on time. My hair takes a long time, so it's only fair to be on time. As always, I talk to MKate on the way to 465. I don't ever talk on the phone on the highway. Instead I listen to The Secret. I'm trying to move onto a different level in all the areas of my life.
I love going to studio 7000. Eunice is fun and gets my hair. I also like most of the other hair dressers and the nail tech, Kim. My two favs are Shar and Gary. I've said before that I think Gary is a hero. He gives so much to older people and he's so gentle and loving with them. Shar is just fun. She's always has something neat going on. Right now, she's getting ready for her granddaughter's wedding. We talked about hats today. I didn't know that Shar ran a store at one time. She had this big collection of hats and she sold them all in her store. Now she wishes that she had kept her fav hat. I would love to see a picture of it. If I remember, next month I'll bring markers to the studio and see if she can draw the hat. Interesting, now her granddaughter is finishing design school and she's interested in designing hats.
My hair is cute. I don't like my bangs as much as I usually do, but they'll grow.
I came home in time to rest. Then I picked MKate up for class. The class was first class. The shakti flowed. I felt the waves inside myself. I taught a meditation technique instead of the classic pranayama. The silence in the room was amazing. I don't think that I'd do that again, because it changed the direction of the class--but I'm glad that I gave the technique to those who won't be able to take my meditation class.
I left feeling so peaceful.
