4/25/09 Church. NM and dinner with Bobby and Evan

Sunshine.  Birds and true spring weather.  Almost hot.  I have thick hair and when it's hot and I wear it down,  I'm wearing a winter scarf.  Thank heaven for hair clips.

Today was our Catholic roots day at St Lukes.  I was inspired by how Pastor M talked about the two crosses.  The Catholic cross has the crucified Jesus on it.  The Methodist cross is plain and reminds us of the risen Jesus.  And I like to think about that risen,  victorious Christ.  It gives me courage to face life when life isn't what I want it to be.

We talked after Church.  Sometimes the energy is so high.  People want to talk.  I met a woman that I had enjoyed meeting at the Carmel Symphony party.  She sings with a small choir,  and she says that she'll listen to Liz and my songs.

So I didn't have time to eat much breakfast.  It was okay.

I met some very interesting people at NM.  One man came back with his wife.  I'd worked with him before and he liked working with me.  His wife told me that the celery pills I gave him for high blood pressure didn't work because . . .  he doesn't use them.  Typical.  They are sooo a nice couple.  I worked with another woman that I felt for.  Her ikky husband divorced her after 22 years during which she served him and the family faithfully.  She came in with her little 10 year old girl.  I did my best to help her.  I also invited the mother/daughter to try my class.

After work,  Bobby and Evan met us at Puccinis.  I think about my old friend Mike who introduced me to Puccinis.  I haven't thought of him in years.  I wonder what he's up to.  Luke and I were coming from different directions--me from home and Luke from Butler.  We got to the restuarant at exactly the same time.

Dinner was fun.  Bobby says that Em is having fun in Isreal but working harder than she expected to or even wanted to.  She said that from 1 to 10 she's having an 8 sort of time.
