4/23/09 Bloomington and the grandkids
Got up. Tired. Luke is making it but struggling more than I like. I plan to pray very, very hard tonight. I know that God can help us in a moment, and that's what I'm praying for.
But I did get all my shedule in and that's good. We left for Btown a little later than we hoped for. And then had to stop for gas. But X doesn't get out of school until 3:10, so I knew that we'd be fine and we were.
The drive up wasn't as calm as usual. We're facing the trip to El Paso which is hard for both of us. We have to make decisions now on how we'll spend our time. People have shedules and they might not connect with ours.
Nana tells me that John is still sick and had to go to the hospital and that Jerry has lost his job. I'm not sure how that will impact our seeing them this trip.
Luke and I are both extra stressed because of the night time problems. Pray Willow. Pray.
God can change things in a moment, and better times will come. More faith.
X looked a little tired when he came out of school. He's been sick all week and out of school for several days. At home we slog through his homework. He doesn't want to go outside. So I let him play at whatever gives him peace and I watch and cheer him on. Luke takes a nap. He's not getting the sleep he needs at night. Funny he can sleep during the day and be fine.
I watch him nap. He looks peaceful and relaxed.
X wins his games and then we go downstairs to play Pet Society.
Rain and Ry come home with Violetta. As soon as she sees me, she reaches her little arms out and says pick me up. I can do that without support from the cane if I don't try to walk more than a few steps. V is hungry and wants to sit in her high chair. She eats a little. Not bad. I read to her while she's eating. She drinks out of a cup now. No more sippy cups. All thorugh dinner she reaches out to pat me. It's as though she knows that I'm going through some difficulties and she wants to comfort me.
After dinner, she watches the Wiggles on t.v. X goes up early to get ready for bed. He's tired.
Violet comes and sits next to me. It's very sweet and touching. She's tired as well. She puts her little head on my lap and we watch the Wiggles together. It's such a cute show. I'm trying to get the cast of character's straight. Jeff is always sleeping. Captain Feathersword lives on his own pirate ship. I hope that's right. I better go on line and learn.
The drive home is a bit more uplifting. We both realize that this hard time will end and Luke will recover his health. We feel better when we talk about the positives. Dr H did say that it could take a few months to turn the situation around.
At home. Luke does his thing and I call Nana.
