This morning the sky was grey but the warmth was wonderful. I heard birds singing. They know that spring is almost here. No more freezing and hunting for bits of food. Soon food will be plentiful.
I got most of my shedule accomplished. I was able to get downstairs and have a light breakfast and fix my coffee before we took off for Church. It's so nice for me to have Luke drop me off. You know. Walking is not my forte right now. What? An Eat Mor Chikin cow. I take his picture for Xavier.
There were no seats up front where we like to sit. Mid-way, I see a couple that could choose to move over, and free up two seats. I think I'll only need one more seat for Luke. Then B and J come in and I want to sit with them as well. So this poor couple has to sqinch over again. Now there are six . Blessings other couple. Thank you so much.
I love the hymns and old prayers: the Creed, Glory to God, the Our Father. Pastor talked about healing. The reading were : Matthew 8:1-3, 14-15---" When Jesus had come down from the mountain, great crowds followe him, saying, "Lord, if you choose, you can make me clean." He stretched out his hand and touched him saying, "I do choose. Be made clean!" Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
and Matthew 9:19-22
. . . "then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak, for she said to herself, "If I ony touch his cloak, I will be made well." Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Take heart daughter, your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well.
I believe that this kind of healing is possible--today, now. Right in this moment. I have always believed that miracles were possilbe. For me, miracles are the ice cream of life--reminding us that we are part of the divine. Reminding us who our father really is. When we come to know that greatness inside us, what can't we accomplish.
I loved the sermon.
Afterwards, I went home for a quick brunch, and to feed Durga and get her dressed for the day.
Matt and I had a slow day at NM. We made the most of what we had to work with. I worked with two new clients who were excited to join our store family. One man had been shopping at another store. He asked me if were had better products. He must have been convinced because he bought a number of items and told me that he was looking forward to seeing me again.
I thanked M for working for me , so Luke and I could attend the Gala together. I found out that he did have to work overtime at his day job. He also said that he was rewarded for his good deed. I'm so glad.
After work, Em came over and I gave her most of the dish that D made for me. She hasn't been feeling well and she's a vegetarian. So . . . macrobiotic food will do her good. D is an amazing cook. She's always sharing with others to help them feel better.
Luke and I went to Ocean World for dinner. We like the atmosphere, and the food is always good. Their miso soup rocks.
