Spring is in the air. And the squirels know it. We've had a squirel in our back yard all winter. He was so cute to watch. Yesterday (no I didn't blog last night. We got home late and I was tired. ) Then he started running around, very hyper. Up and down the trees , across limbs, he hit a slender branch and played bouncing games. Then up a big tree trunk with . . . surprise , surprise, another squirel giving chase. You know the old saying, at the first sign of spring a young squirels mind turns to thoughts of love.
I feel tons better but I am still blowing my nose. Hummm. I need a detective for this one. I got my whole routine in, and had time for breakfast before A came for her lesson. She was nice enough to come early. She did well considering what she has ahead of herself. The shakti flowed and the lesson went very well.
When you are working with other family members, trying to create some peace and happiness in difficult times: it's important to respect your own personal gift. To understand it: what can I contribute here that's right , natural and meets the needs of others as well as myself. If you listen to your heart, the right answer always comes up. Don't be someone else. You can't anyway. Be yourself and give your own gift.
Picture a blanket being woven on a beautiful loom. You're just one thread. All your relatives are there working their own threads into the mix. The outcome is amazing, because it's shared effort and shared love.
Respect your gift. Give your gift with love. Then let it flow freely from your hands and merge with the gifts of the others involved. A colored thread woven by silk worms. Magic.
Eunice, my hair dresser, was nice enough to fit me in. My hair grows so fast. I look like a skunk if I go beyond a certain time. With the gala tonight, I wanted to look my best. So, she agreed to do my hair--a very long process. It's always fun to be at Studio 7000. Today some icky people were talking politics. Boring and annoying, but part of the life of a beauty salon. When the process was over, my hair looked amazing. Fierce.
On the way home, I'm listening to "Your A Good Man Charlie Brown, " and trying to make a decision. I was almost out of getting dressed time. But, we were almost out of coffee cream.
How can you drink coffee without organic half and half? We can't. So I called NM and asked MKate if she would bring my cream out and put it on my tab. Honestly the whole deal took five minutes. That's all.
When I got in the house, I sneaked the cream into the fridge. It's o.k. to be fashionably late to a gala.
Quess what? We passed our exit to the event. It's hard to see it coming. I found a quick way to get to the building . Luke was surprised and happy. I was happy and surprised. My intuition is getting stronger.
The gala was fun. I met some interesting people and ate some terrific food. I scored a beautiful water color of a fountain that will look perfect in our kitchen, some old music for Larry, and something that I'm not sure what to do with. We'll see.
