I woke up earlier than usual. I promised to teach a yoga class for another teacher. At 9:30 a.m. I am just getting out of the shower at 9:30. Then I do my practices and usually am having breakfast at 12:30 or 1:00. So I offered to help.
I had time to take a shower and eat a piece of toast. MKate picked me up. We got to Mindful Movement early. The class was interesting. The students all worked hard. To make magic, all the students have to be there. So .. . .
MKate and I went to the Pancake House. I haven't been there in ages. MKate and I ordered coffee, and waited for the kids. They came in and the party started. The kids were adorable. I stayed with my eating program. Also, I had Xavier to share with and that helped. He ate two of my three pieces of Canadian bacon. That was perfect. We sang Happy Birthday to Violetta. She smiled. What a cutie.
I almost left my yoga bag in the restuarant, but --little miracle--I remembered before I left the restaurant.
At home, we started to get ready for the party. I played with Xavier. We both like playing on the computor. It's relaxing. So we just quietly played for a while. Then Violetta come home--she and the kids were at the bookstore-- and I read to her. She and X have the sweetest relationship. The kids have done a great job with these littles.
The party was fun. Pizza. And tons of other food. Fruits and veggies and dip. Everything was delicious. I didn't eat cake. I did dip my finger into the icing. The guests of honor were the littles. V is two. Amazing. The adults were MKate. Luke and I. Rain and R. Em and Bobby. And that was enough. Rain is the hostest of the year. She can snap her fingers, bake a cake and pull a lush party together in a matter of hours.
V got a little tired, but mostly she had fun and was her charming, adorable self. She opened all her presents. A little over whelming. She really liked the Fancy Nancy book and purse. We'll see.
Uncle Dan was quiet and little by little V is getting used to him. She didn't always like him, infact--he used to make her cry. Every time. This was an improvement. She didn't cry when she saw him.
The party was successful. The kids went to sleep happy.
