Today was springlike.  Strange when the wind is so still the trees stand without motion.  Usually you can see at least a few branches gently rocking back and forth.

I was very well organized.  My goal was to have the car parked,  the house put together,  lunches made and packed,  and on our way by 1 p.m.  and that came about.  The ride was rainy but not too rainy.  Peace.  Driving and talking softly.  Getting into some controversial subjects but softly.
We had time to stop at Starbucks for chai tea and a cookie for Xavier.

We got to his school  20 minutes ahead of shedule.  Good.  Luke had a short nap and I did some writing on Miracles The Musical.  It's going to be fun like Ice Cream Dreams.

Luke does homework with Xavier,  then takes a nap.  I play on line games with him.  First Pet Society,  then I watched him play bowling and golf (by the same company as Pet Society.)  He's fast.

Rocky was at the vet,  getting his teeth cleaned and getting that place under his tummy checked.  He's fine AND his breath smelled good.  He wanted a lot of attention because he'd been to the vet.  You know they have to put a dog to sleep to clean their teeth.  Hummm.

The kids came home late because the vet wanted to speak with them.  They hurried into the house.  Xander had eaten his pizza.  Violetta sat in her high chair and ate some of hers.  Not much.  A kid bit her on the head.  Rain says that by the time she got to the school,  V and the bitter were playing nicely together.  Violetta is growing up.  She's almost two and she has that almost two look.

We all got dressed and ready for the Gala,  a charity event for Babs--a wonderful orgainzation that supports natural care for pregnant women and later for young mom's and their babies.  Such a blessing that young women have a place to learn parenting skills.

The event took place in a beautiful mansion.  Inside was a silent auction,  food and crowds of people.  The theme was Marti Gras (or however it's spelled) with tons of beads,  and great masks.  I put our number down on several items that I wanted for myself or for Rain and the kids. Yoga lessons for Violetta--that would have been sweet.  I didn't win anything,  because I bid too early.  Oh well.  There was a beautiful red puja cloth/baby blanket that I had my eye on,  but . . .

There was a live auction and that was fun.  We left about 15 min later than I would have liked,  but we got home by 10:30 .  Not bad.
