Now today.  I did all my morning routine.

Talked to B my daughter who had the awful flu that's been going around.  Cough,  cough.  Plus throwing up.  She couldn't keep anything down and was concerned.  She and her husband live in states that are 5 hours appart.  He wasn't with her,  and wanted her to go to the hospital.  She knew better--a long wait to be seen,  nothing done and a long ride home alone --late at night.
I said try a teaspoon of ginger ale,  if it stays down,   you'll be o.k.  And it did.

This morning B had an important job interview.  She wasn't sure how it went because she coughed for 10 minutes right in the midst of things.  I pray that she does get this job or one very like it.  I pray that she can work and not have to move out of the area she loves.

Luke and I went to B town.  I picked him up at Butler.  He was waiting outside.

We had a fab day for a drive--warm as spring.  The sun shining brightly.  I love spring,  and I can feel it coming.  I didn't have to wear a coat.  We talked quietly.  The conversation flowed from fun topics to more serious matters.  Nothing seemed to dent the quiet inside and out.  Luke was tired and I should have taken the wheel.  He thought if he stopped at Starbucks and had a latte he would be all right to drive his half of the trip.  I should have followed my gut and taken the wheel,  but we got to Xavier's school in one piece.  Thank's guardian angels.

Xavier is so handsom.  He's growing up.  I think of the little baby in my arms,  singing and rocking him to sleep.  Today was his half birthday,  halfway to his teen years.  Weird.

We went to the Golden Corral for dinner.  If you want ,  you can have a truely healthy meal at GC.  It's fun to pick out what you want.  I thought about chocolate pudding.  Then realized that it's not pudding time in my life.  It wasn't hard to move on.

Violetta calls the GC the cottage cheese restaurant.  She loves it.  Maybe more when she's less tired.  I hope we can go earlier next week.  At the table we played with the toy dog I got as a gag gift for Chirstmas.

I drive home.  The dark and quiet restful as always.  Cars moving in and out in the traffic dance.  I'm always glad to be home,  and someone even brought in our trash can.  Thanks someone.
