Birds in the garden. There haven't been many this winter. Next year, I'm planning to set up my yard for birds and maybe squirrels as well. It's interesting Sai Baba talks about feeding birds as one part of honoring God. Yesterday, Emily's father said that he feeds the birds because in winter they can't take care of themselves. He's a good man. He drove far to help his daughter while her husband was away, and he feeds the birds.
I saw a cardinal family, a blue jay, and some little grey birds.
Tim came to put the carpet in the guest room. I loved the color. I'll see more tonight when I go up to bed. It was good to hear that Tim's dogs are still doing well. He found a better vet for the dogs. I was glad to hear it.
Then Luke and I went for our ride and talk. (Every other week) We had a very serious talk. Maybe the hardest and best talk we've ever had. I did a lot of coughing. For the past few months, I've been working hard on myself, to give up useless old habits that have been around for too long. Changing the way I view the world. Taking the finger of criticism and pointing at myself. To point that finger at another person is to waste time. I know that but it's hard to do.
Now it's time for Luke to do the same. For himself. So that he can be healtlhier and happier, and more productive longer. He finally got it. Now he's on his own journey. We were tired. We both had Chai Lattes and shared a cookie. It felt good to be supporting each other.
At home, I needed to rest completely. I coughed too much. After I rested, I started dinner.
Luke taught two lessons. One kid that he taught is Pam's step-son. So adorable. I really like his spirit. I hope he does well at Butler and sees his dreams come true. What a sweet heart.
Luke and I ate my shrimp in coconut milk and mushrooms. It was delicious. I served it with veggies and rice.
I'm resting again. I'm ready to be back to full energy. Mary and I are meeting this Sat. but I know that I have to plan a full cast meeting soon.
It's been quite a day. I tired, but excited for the future.
