Yesterday was interesting.  I didn't write because it was our New Years Eve party and I was either cleaning or coughing.  Almost everyone in our circle of friends was sick or exhausted and I was too.

I must say that it felt good to clean and organize even though I have a lot to wade through before I'm ready to start work in o9.

As the day wore on,  one friend after another called in sick or exhausted.  As night fell,  I was so tired that I prayed that no one would come and Luke and I could just fall into bed early.  He was exhausted because I coughed all night and kept him awake.

It was supposed to have been a celebration for B and J's engagement--we had the cake in their honor and a gift.  J could not get out of bed.  B came over to drop off her magic cookies.  She stayed awhile to chat.  The wedding will take place in May at our Church.  Pastor M will officiate.  Awesome.  What a miracle that two twin souls found each other after so many bad relationships and so many years of searching.

A prospective student of Luke's came over with his girl friend.  MKate ,  Luke and I sat in the living room talking and feeding the kids.  I'm hoping that one or both will join the MIRALCES group.

Around 9 p.m.  J finished work and came by with a video and cheese curls.  It was relaxing to just sit and I must admit --play with my on line Pet--while Luke and J watched the movie.  It was English humor.  Not my top fav but peaceful.  "The Magic Christian."

At 12: 00 ,  we shut off the movie to watch the ball fall in Times Square and see millions of freezing people bring in the New Year with shouts and kisses and joy.  We are all hoping to see much better this year.

Luke found some cough syrup for me.  I slept quietly.  That was a miracle.
