This morning I got up very early because I felt something off.  Luke couldn't sleep,  he was in the den working on the computer--most of the night.   He was worried about the next day when he had back to back services.  Not good.  The night before I asked him not to do it all,  he told me I didn't understand.  But the stress of it kept him awake.  With his penchant for leg cramps it wasn't good that he didn't get any sleep.

I went back to bed.  I can't afford to be sick again.  Luke has to do his own thinking and set priorities that work better for him.  A caring partner makes suggests and doesn't let her partner jump off a bridge,  but . . . .

My morning window was a wash of deep snow.  Shadows and a white sky.  Almost as if it could snow again.  Rain called to touch base.  She didn't expect me in B town because of weather.  She was excited to have had two days off work,  and a half day today.  Time to relax and play with the family.  I found out on facebook that she baked cookies.

After the morning routine,  I took stock of what I wanted to get done.  My toe nails were a mess,  snagging on my socks.  A pedi was for sure.  Then I needed drug store ,  and Trader Joe stuff.  The walks and parking lots were slick,  for someone with a cane that's hard.  If the bottom of the cane gets wet,  it slips and then I can slip.  But I was determined.

The nail salon is very close to the edge of the parking lot.  I didn't use the cane.  I walked slowly and got into the salon without any problems.  I got a new nail tech.  She was very considerate of my walking issues and did a very good job on my feet and legs.  In these saloons,  the techs don't speech English well,  or not at all.  I like that better because it's more relaxing to read and not have to make conversation with someone you don't know.  Sue does speak English but she understands about conversation.  We did chat a little,  but not much.  I'm reading a  Diane Mott Davidson mystery.  The heroine is Goldy Bear,  a caterer.  I like food mysteries.  (that are well written)

I drove to CVS and decided to pull right up to the curb.  I put up my hadicapped sticker,  and knew noone would bother me or wonder why I parked at the curb.  Again I walked into the store slowly,  without a cane.

With this success behind me,  I went on to Trader Joes and that also went well.  A nice woman helped me by giving me a cart so I didn't have to walk in the slush more than necessary.  I enjoy shopping.  And TJ's give free coffee.

Luke had leg cramps at the audition that worried me.  He agreed to take a soak.  (I got epson salts and baking powder from CVS)  He took extra homeopathic magnesium.  I pray that the night goes well.  Only relaxation and good sleep for Larry and I.
