This morning I decided not to be sick anymore. The mad coughing stopped . I was still tired but I could work with that. Out the window was that thin dusting of snow that this winter has been famous for. (yay!) We're working our way toward spring.
I did all my yoga.
Did I mention. We're getting rid of mold and ickk in our upstairs. And we're getting a new master bath. Ricky who is doing this work for us at a low price (because he is a friend of our son-in-law) was sick. ( He was exposed to the house where I was coughing. ) We've had a few set backs. The work was supposed to be done by Christmas. Hummm. But Ricky is making progress. I don't look at the rooms involved and that keeps stress at bay. When they are done, it will be cool. Especially for Luke who will finally get his super jet stream tub. (I only shower)
Okay. Today I experienced a miracle. I've been with Luke for a long time. No I'm not telling because " The Secret" recommends staying at one year or so for all your life. I've decided on 21-- a sweet age. And it wouldn't make sense for a 21 year old to be married for more than a year or two. Luke has been a workaholic for most of our lives together. He feels that he has to be in as many places as possible work, work, working. But today he told me that he had a happy surprise for me --I couldn't guess. He told me that he was passing up a meeting at Butler tomorrow. An amazing victory for Luke and a happy day for me. He has begun to take care of himself. That is a miracle that I've been waiting for . For awhile. Luke says with a smile, " Not going in for that meeting means that I'll be able to stay at home for the entire day." He'll get rest and get some work done in a relaxed way. Win. Win.
We went out for a short errand. It was my first "work" in two weeks. We went to Target for puja candles and food. I didn't try to do too much. When I felt tired, we checked out and came right home. I was excited to be getting stronger.
Luke had dinner with Em and Bobby. They ate at "Ocean World." I wish I could have been there to see Luke give Bobby his last Christmas gift. A real surprise. You know how Bobby "loves" The Messiah. Well, it was a tape of the top favorites of The Messiah. Bobby couldn't stop laughing. He said he's going to listen to it every day.
Em brought me left overs. That was so sweet.
