In the middle of the night I woke up and peeked out my window.  Snow.  Our first serious snow of the year.  Piling up on ground and lawn furniture (which we never take it and hardly ever sit on).
In the morning,  it's still snowing.  Big fluffy flakes of snow.  About 12 inches.  Very beautiful.  It stopped the city.  Most schools closed down.  A day of peace of all who were lucky enough to stay home.

The table in the yard looks like one of those cakes with a hole in the middle.  A tall cake.  The blue garden ball has a snowy hat.  The snow has creeped up along the trunk of the tree.  High up.
A red cardinal eats from the winter garden.

We're changing to A.T. and T.  This is always time consuming and fraught with peril.  They do it wrong and it takes weeks to get things up and working. Anyway,  that's what happened when we switched from A T and T to Comcast.  (Why these changes$$$$.  Will it be worth the trouble?  We'll see)  A young man comes to the door.  How does he manage to get through the thick
snow?  We didn't think he'd come,  but here he is.  Ready to rock and roll.  Will he know what
he's doing.  He looks about 16.  He's very sweet and yes he seems to get everything done quietly and easily.  He doesn't mind answering our questions. (the Comcast guy did)  So we're into a new learning curve.  New Numbers for the channels.  New hardware.

If we put some effort in,  we can learn to record shows that we are not home for.  I was just saying that I'd like to be able to do that .
