Winter.  Cold and dark colors tempered by white on white snow.  

Since a winter storm was predicted,  we stayed home from B town and got our Christmas shopping done.  We worked well as a shopping team,  and surprise,  surprise  got almost everything done.  All the big stuff.  

Now comes putting everything together. 

I made dinner and watched a bit of a quiz show with Luke.  Then I got down to the huge job of  making Christmas happen.  First I shared with those charities that I like--feeding people.  Then I answered Christmas cards.  I threw away all unnecessary paper like ads and catalogues that try to get you to spend a lot on a little.  We recycle.

Tomorrow,  I start wrapping.  

Oh.  I won a prize.  I gave $1.00 to a charity at Starbucks,  and I won a French Coffee Press with coffee and a special cup.  I'm excited to pick it up.  It's worth $85.00.  I'm going to love it.  It's fun to win stuff.  It's like a little shower of blessings and it makes me smile.  The girl who called me was excited to tell me about the prize,  and she was fun to talk to .  

I spoke with all my girls today.  I pray that Becky gets one of the jobs that she is up for--a job that will be in the area she loves.  I also pray for Kevin's son Aemon who is going through hard karma.  I pray that God will come into his life and help him survive and go beyond the troubles in his life.  

All in all it was a magic day.
