This morning backyard paradise was quiet.  Not much snow.  Brown leaves sticking up.  Cold winter colors that make me grateful for a warm home.  Thoughts of my grandfather who took me out in nature to feel the cold winter wind and to see the icy landscape.  When I was a girl,  winters were hard.  Long icicles hung from the eaves on Gamma's porch.  As long as I was,  longer.  I loved to see them,  all bundled up as I was against the cold.  

Went to the dentist.  Nice,  funny Dr N who puts up with my cowardly ways.  My teeth need a lot of help.  All the staff at Dr N's are nice and fun.  I'm so lucky.  Like I'm surrounded by good people.  The procedure was a success!!! We all talked about Christmas.  It's true people are not decorating the way they used to.  Soon we'll put out our lighted deer.

It's date day for Luke and I.  We took a drive and talked.  We always get Starbucks.  I love Starbucks.  Luke loves that I love Starbucks and I think he likes it and enjoys the treats that we get.  I'm kind of a stick-in-the-mud.  I get the same thing every time.  Chai Latte and half a sweet that I share with Luke.  He gets the Latte as well.  We used to share an oatmeal cookie,  now its a biscotti.  

Made leftovers for dinner.  Em's lasagna and the rest of my last Sat night's dish with green beans in coconut oil and Une Plum.  I had a little salad.  We watched L's quiz game and then our new fav "Chuck."
