The sky is frosty.  I wake up late.  I'm not sure why.  But it's o.k.  Winter cold is setting in.  The kind that burns your fingers and chills you through your coat.  Thank you Lord for a warm coat and scarf and for warm gloves.

I like the shops at Christmas.  People are looking for things to make other people happy.  There's a good feeling in the air.  People smile and want to talk which they might not do at another time.  I have some items for God's kids that won't have gifts this year.  I have to decide where to bring them.  As I roll along,  I do more of this secret giving.

I got most of my shopping done.  A good feeling.  I still have to accomplish a few things tomorrow and probably saturday as well.

I went home to my Christmas house.  Lighted tree,  lighted deer.  So warm and joyful.  I went  home to rest before E's big game.

Bobby picked me up,  or I never would have found the place.  The gym was huge and very professional.  Kids were everywhere bouncing their basketballs--dribbling.  Coaches were doing their thing--some yelling but E's was calm and focused.  Refs in black and white shirts running back and forth across the court.  Dads and moms and Gammas like me.  Little kids.  Medium kids wanting to shoot baskets (or try to ) when the big kids took a break.  Popcorn everywhere.  Under the bleachers.  (of course they keep the playing field very clean)

The bleachers were metal and I wasn't sure how comfy that would be for me.  Not bad at all.
E played with great energy and focus.  He came close to winning the game.  This was a new kind of team for him.  He was invited to play and hopes that he does well enough to be invited to play with them again.  This team is much more athletic than his little kid teams.  No more babies on the court.  After the game,  I want to take a picture of E.  He anxious to leave.

We ate dinner at Chipotles.  It was fun to eat great food and talk about the game.   I think that E will surprise everyone by his improvement this year.  Also,  big news.  He invited me to a special game he's playing on a Sunday.  I'll take off work and attend.  I felt like super Gamma that he asked me.
