I love the drive to Dr K's (chiropractor) . It's peaceful. I can talk to my friends, or listen to music. The time is mine. I talked to Judy B , and found out that her youngest son got engaged.
I've known B since he was a little guy.
Dr. K is focused on natural healing. His work is about helping his patients to work on the healing possible with their own bodies. He encourages us to have faith in ourselves. He's also good hearted and that shows in the people that he surrounds himself with. Amy, the receptionist, makes everyone feel at home. She has the cutest little toddler--AJ. Yesterday, Amy coughed at the dinner table. AJ looked worried. He said, "Mommy, K?" Amy said that she almost cried.
After the adjustment, Starbucks and a Chai Latte. I sip the warm, spicy liquid all the way home and think happy thoughts. I love Starbucks.
Work is always fun and interesting. Helping and interacting with so many interesting people.
On the way home , it was icy cold. The roof of my car was coated in rime. My new coat kept me warm. As I drove , I thought of those who wouldn't be warm tonight. I prayed for them and I thanked God for my great good fortune.
Yes, it's true. I had some cranky thoughts today. Petty and unworthy. Hummm. Well, the miracle is that I know it. And that I'm working on going beyond the unworthy and the petty within.
