Went to M and Bobby's for Thanksgiving. I like this holiday. There's so much to be grateful for, and we get a chance to remember. M invited me to say the prayer. I felt honored.
When M was little, Luke and I invited people to our holiday table that had no relatives in the area. M does the same. It feels like our family is growing to include more of God's children. Very sweet.
I brought Taylor's pumpkin cheese cake, a salad and green beans. We sat at the table with R's parents, and N's family. The food was delicious. Bobby made two kinds of turkey--roasted and deep fried, sweet potatoes, veggies, Rain's Greek dish--everyone had something good to share.
Violetta hadn't taken her nap. Ummm. She only wanted to sit on my lap. I sang to her and she sang along. So sweet. I make up words to old songs. She loves that. She loves that I wear more than one necklace. So I sang her a song about wearing ten necklaces and she laughed and laughed. A baby's laugh is a miracle.
I was able to stand better and longer and could really help M with the dishes. There were so many dishes. R's mom helped as well. When we left, I felt that most of the clean up had been taken care of.
At one point, Violetta was sitting on my lap and M was lying on the floor exhausted. Violetta said, "M is tired." She knows that when she's tired she lies on the floor. She felt in sync with M. So cute.
Violetta reads. She reads more and more words--at 19 months. Rain likes to show her off. It is amazing.
I am thinking how grateful I am to have God in my life, and so, so many blessings.
Before she left, N's sister blessed me and told me that she would pray that I have a miraculous healing.
