Thursday is one of our fav days.  Thursday is the drive to Bloomington,  and playing with the grandkids.

It was another beautiful day.  Only a sweater weather.  Yay.  Now the trees are mostly bare making patterns against the blue,  blue sky.  An easy free feeling drive.  We talk quietly about this and that.  Mostly appreciating this precious time.  What is love?  Is it that feeling of peace and trust when you are with another person--free to fight,  free to be sweet or mean.  No one cares.

Xavier does not want his doughnut.  We won't bring such a heavy sweet again.  At home we play Green Eggs and Ham.  Half by the rules and half any old thing.  Today Xavier should win.  Luke does homework with X.  Violeta comes home and reaches for her Gamma.  I'm so lucky.  She puts her little head on my shoulder and I sing a lullaby to her.  My version of Rock-a-by-Baby--where the baby rocks but never falls.

V is in a sweet mood.  Rain goes upstairs to sleep.  She's always sleep deprived.  Luke and I are glad to help.  We play with the kids--reading books,  playing the toy piano,  just relaxed.  Whatever they want.

R comes home and we head for the Golden Choral.  Best place to keep your diet and still get a fun and varied meal.  Another family shares that their baby eats well at the Choral.  We know that our kids do.  Families admire each other's babies and everyone has fun.  Like liquid joy.

The ride home is also sweet and soft.
