This morning Pastor M spoke about changing our inner discussion with ourselves.  He talked about his own experience with a CPA that did amazing work,  but couldn't get on with the rest of the office staff.  His first dialogue with himself was that he'd have to fire her.  Then he began to recount all that she had done for our church.  He went to her and thanked her.  She confided that she had been insulting to a staff member.  Together they went to the staff member.  The CPA apologized.  She thanked the woman, and took responsibility for not training her better .  They both cried.  Problem solved.

I'm going to work on my self talk.

Tomorrow is my dental surgery.  I'm telling myself that it's going to go well in every way,  and I'll spend the day playing word games and relaxing.

After Church,  I packed a light lunch and went to NM.  M was there with a bad cough.  We managed to have fun anyway--and to do a great job!!!! The numbers were good.  He told a joke.  Not right for The Blog but perfect for Bear Valley next summer. (I collect jokes for the night on the mountain dinner with our friends--we eat good food,  tell jokes and laugh.)

The weather was perfect--warm with a light wind.  Like spring.  My favorite.  Luke tells me there are more spring like days to come.

I came home for a 1/2 hour of word games.  Then dinner at Celeste and Bobby F's.(middle daughter and son-in-law)   I packed some Halloween candy for the kids--heavy on the candy corn.  My grandson liked his because he took it upstairs.  If he doesn't like a gift ,  he leaves it in the kitchen.

N and W were there--playing scrabble with Celeste.  Dinner was excellent--a little fattening but . . .  I probably should have brought my own veggies.  Celeste told me there wouldn't be any.  Next time.

I had a good dialogue with Tiffany. Instead of yelling,  I just quietly said that we both need to work on our inner dialogues and on being more positive within our own minds and out loud.  I was amazed that she agreed.  Huge progress.
