Church is always peace for me. I love the music and I think that Pastor M is an inspiration. Today he spoke about how we have to just let go and trust God, even when things look dark and difficult. A miracle creator-- trust in God. I have to work at it.
Pastor talked about a meditation he does. He puts all his worries on upturned hands. Then he dumps them out for God to take. As human beings we can trust God and put ourselves in alinement with his will or fight it out and lose--exhausted and sad.
"The good news is that we have a good shepherd." I love to meditate on that. I have a good shepherd and he loves me personally. He sends angels to watch over me. In return, he wants me to look out for his other children. He wants me to be a good shepherd as well. I'll be thinking about this sermon all through the Christmas season. (and beyond)
At the end of the service, Pastor asked us to greet someone we don't know. I met Debbie B's yoga teacher, who goes to St Luke's. She's lovely. I gave her my e-mail and hope she gets in touch with me.
Then off to NM. M was there waiting for me. It was a slow day, without being a total loss. I helped a sweet couple that will be back.
We didn't go to Em and Bobby's tonight. They had to get up early and visit with his mom in Louisville. She had surgery, and is doing well under the circumstances. Afterwards, they had the long drive home and just wanted to rest.
Truthfully, I was glad for the time to rest as well.
