Thursday is grandchildren day.  The best.  My husband and I drive for two hours to see our daughter's family for a few hours and then drive home.  We make sure that the drive is for relaxing,  fun,  and uplifting conversation and for laughing together.  We very rarely use the time for issues.  So we look at the drive as a mini-vacation.  We always stop half-way for Starbucks.
I LOVE their coffee.

Some people think that you have to spend a quantity of time to make a drive worthwhile(especially now that gas is so expensive ),  but I think that time is flexible.  A short time beautifully spent can last for a lifetime.  It depends on how you value the gift of what's in the time.

Today my husband took our grandson to the park.  He taught him to climb a tree without fear .  They made up silly words and collected leaves and twigs.  When our grandson wanted to bring home a branch,  my husband didn't say no.  He carried it and left it in the back yard.  You have to say no to kids a lot,  so when you can say yes it's good.
