Got up late today.  I let myself live within my natural rhythm when possible.  It's more peaceful.  My inclination is to stay up late and sleep late--when I was a baby,  a teen and now as well.

I didn't have to leave the house before 1 p.m.  So,  I had no trouble getting in all the parts of my schedule.  That always feels good.  I packed up the car.  Put my homemade,  yummy coffee in a travel cup and was ready to roll to B-town and the grandkids.

The weather was warm with just a slight fall chill.  I didn't even need a sweater.  My favorite.  The drive was peaceful.  Ortega.  He write and sings these amazing lullaby-praise songs.  So beautiful.

The usual stop at Starbucks.  It's still iced coffee weather.  Yay.  Gramma got an iced doughnut for Xavier.  Next week I'll only give him half.

He was at his old preschool and kindergarten for a reunion.  There was traffic and I got there a bit late.  The school principal was sweet enough to keep him in her office.  He was painting with magic markers.  His art skills are so interesting and fun to witness.

Sometimes the world is washed in love.  And today it was that for me.  Everyone looked beautiful like angels.  The way they really are inside.

At home I had treats for Rocky.  He knows he can get extras if he looks at me with his extra brown eyes.

Xavier and I sat on the sofa and played with his kid computer.  Then a few art projects before dinner.  We fall into the same quiet rhythm.  It's a favorite time of the week for me.  Soon the rest of the family came home.  Violeta sat on my lap for awhile,  drawing with a marker and talking about what she saw--" pink marker,  green marker,  yellow marker ,  Xavier,  Gramma,  and so on . . .  like a little sports caster.  "

The family had pizza,  I had chicken.  Yay me for sticking with my diet.

The drive home in the soft,  soft darkness was swift and smooth.  I worked on my presentation for the Butler music students.

At home,  I . . . yes went right to the computer for word games. A very cool day.
